Rescheduling/Cancellation Guidelines

In Case of Bad Weather

  1. The ASA determines when games will be cancelled due to bad weather.  Decisions are not made until after 2:30 pm.  To find out if games are cancelled.
  2. Call the ASA Office - 225-0088 (listen to message on the answering machine)
  3. Radio:  Pheasant Country FM103.7 or KKAA 1560AM
  4. Check the ASA Bulletin Board
  5. Check the GSA Bulletin Board

ASA vs ASA Games

  1. The coach requesting the change (requestor) will contact the other coach.
  2. If the other coach agrees to switch, they should come up with 2-3 possible dates for rescheduling.
  3. The requestor should contact the Aberdeen Age Group Commissioner and give alternate dates.
  4. The Aberdeen Commissioner will notify the Aberdeen Scheduler of the request.
  5. The Aberdeen Age Group Commissioner will then contact the requestor with alternate date.
  6. The requestor will then contact the other coach.
  7. If canceling the game, the requestor must notify the Aberdeen Age Commissioner.

ASA vs GSA Games

  1. The coach requesting the change (requestor) will contact the other coach.
  2. If the other coach agrees to switch, they should come up with 2-3 possible dates for rescheduling.
  3. The requestor should contact the Aberdeen Age Group Commissioner for and give alternate dates.
  4. The Aberdeen Commissioner will notify the Aberdeen Scheduler of the request.
  5. The Aberdeen Age Group Commissioner will then contact the requestor with alternate date.
  6. The requestor will then contact the other coach.
  7. If canceling the game, the requestor must notify the Aberdeen Age Commissioner.
  8. Also notify the Groton Commissioner.  (This is needed to track billings.)

GSA vs GSA Games (wishing to be played in Groton instead of Aberdeen)

  1. The coach requesting the change (requestor) will contact the other coach.
  2. If the other coach agrees to switch, they should come up with 2-3 possible dates for rescheduling.
  3. The requestor should contact the GSA Scheduler for reschedule and give alternate dates.
  4. The GSA Scheduler will then contact the requestor with alternate date.
  5. The requestor will then contact the other coach.
  6. The requestor will also notify the GSA Commissioner.
  7. The GSA Commissioner will notify the ASA Scheduler that the game will be played in Groton and to cancel ASA ref's and field time.
